My favorite parenting idea came from Aruba when Jen and I were on our honeymoon.
The couple in front of us was on the the beach for about an hour and the 1.5 year old was acting up bad. The mom yells at the dad, he asks “what do you want me to do?” To which she reply “nothing, I’ll take care of it myself.” A half hour later her come the wife and kid and peace there is peace. We were ecstatic. Then we overheard her tell the husband she kept him quiet by medicating the kid. Jen and I had a most wonderful day. Medication works!
