Connecting tanks...

Just thought I would clarify, in case someone wanted to set up something similar with all ports putting out the same or similar water flow (ie. return to multiple tanks).

for sure. calling one of the linear “manifolds” is probably a bad idea to begin with since its the wrong term. i just cant think of a better word to use. i think the reason why few people build a true manifold is simply because to tap into it your going to need the same plumbing as you would to build a linear one and because its alwasy a good idea to use ballvalves for maintenance purposes it kind of eliminates the need for even pressure.

you did make a good point about the pain of “fiddling” around with ballvalves. If someone wants the ability to costantly adjust the output of a certain feed it can be quite the pain because one adjustment will require adjustments on the rest of the feeds as well. whereas in a “true manifold” like you described even with the use of ballvalves you can independently adjust each feed as long as the cumulative pressure off all feeds is less than the total pressure provided by your pump.

So Jon, can we hear more about your multiple tank connections?

Do you have specific questions or you just trying to figure out what is in my basement before you get over there? lol You are likely to be sadly disappointed. Don’t hold your expectations too high.

Lol, a little of both. I’m imagining 12 tanks hooked together on two different systems and all the mess that comes with that.

Nothing like that at all. Three tanks on one system, the rest are seperate.(one other has a sump)

Things look pretty bad right now.
