I don’t know crap about baby stuff yet, but do they use any kind of antibacterial stuff to fight off germs or anything with disposable diapers?
After a quick search I found more then I wanted to know. Tell me why we are allowed to put these in our kids? If you want to find a root cause of the increase in Autism and other illnesses look no farther then their diaper.

:SURRENDER
SODIUM POLYACRYLATE - This is the chemical, added in powder form to the inner pad of a disposable, that makes it super-absorbent. When the powdered form becomes wet, it turns into a gel. THESE ARE THE ‘SHINY GEL-LIKE CRYSTALS’ I FOUND ON MY DAUGHTER’S ‘PRIVATES’ WHEN CHANGING HER.
Properties:
*Refer to 'Sources' at the end of Scene 3 for corresponding references.*
* It can absorb up to 100X its weight in water (1).
* It can stick to baby's genitals, causing allergic reactions (2).
* Reported to cause severe skin irritations, oozing blood from perineum and scrotal tissues, fever, vomiting and staph infections in babies (2).
* When injected into rats it has caused hemorrhage, cardiovascular failure and death (4).
* Banned from tampons in 1985 because of its link to Toxic Shock Syndrome (1).
* Has killed children after ingesting as little as 5 grams of it (5).
* Causes female organ problems, slows healing wounds, fatigue and weight loss to the employees in factories that manufacture it (6).
DIOXIN - This is the chemical by-product of the paper-bleaching process, using chlorine gas, in the manufacturing of diapers.
Properties:
*Refer to 'Sources' at the end of Scene 3 for corresponding references.*
* It is a carcinogenic ~ cancer-causing chemical (3).
* The EPA lists it as the MOST TOXIC of all cancer-linked chemicals(7).
* In small quantities it causes birth defects, skin/liver disease, immune system suppression & genetic damage in lab animals (2),(5).
* Banned in most countries, but not the United States (6).
TRIBUTYL TIN (TBT) - An environmental pollutant, considered highly toxic, that spreads through the skin and has a hormone-like effect in the smallest concentrations.
*It harms the immune system and impairs the hormonal system (3,6)
*Speculated that it could cause sterility in boys (6).
For what it’s worth my dumb as a rock dog has eaten several diapers. Aside from making him letharic for a few days until is passed (there’s a visual for you) there were no ill effects. Diapers are made to absorb and not release (until saturated to the point of explosion - believe me, if you were able to get it out it wasn’t there yet). I’ve accidentally taken my kid swimming with a diaper on, after 15 minutes I realized the kid weighed 40lbs more then when we went in the pool/ Diaper was huge but did not burst.
Run some carbon and you should be fine.
See a few diapers made his dog “dumb as a rock”
30% water change, added 2 units of Chemi-Pure (Thanks Joe) and emptied sump before it ran water into my display. The diaper was only partially in the water until i turned off my pumps and tried to retrieve it. Thx for all the info. we will see how things pan out.
Should be ok SAP aren’t as bad as Al makes them out to be. There are also a few different types not just sodium polyacrylite there’s potassium and a few others. They usually absorb less in an basic environment as opposed to an acidic. I’ve played with the stuff pretty extensively and I’m ok! (right?)
Hey? Whats wrong with a little fertilizer to make things grow?
I don’t think im turning my tank into a hydroponic…
Well…we’ve already got the lights…the things you could grow!
Yea screw it I could make much more off those frags… :SURRENDER ok too far. Back to my fish! >LOL<
My Hippo is covered and so is the scopas. Rest of the fish look fine. Both tangs are eating and breathing normally. Hope it will eventually recede.
