Unfortunatly I dont make any meetings, I wish I could but I live south of Seaford in maryland. I made the frag swap last year but thats it. But on the bright side I live 15 mins. from Dr. Mac:) I guess the thing to do is just what you suggested, hang it so I get full coverage on the tank and start out running it a few hours a day on a low setting, see how they react and make adjustments from there.
I have my blues set at ~50%, whites at like 30%.
This is after I acclimated all corals to LEDs.
My tank is 26" high and I have the lights sitting about 4" from the water level.
I have a mixed reef and don’t have any problems with any corals (light related).
