So here are some updated pictures.
Still need to get a background on it.
Have some hair algae but the clowns like it.
I didn’t realize how dirty the outside of the glass was until I took some pictures.
Here is the starfish I found in the filter sock.
Found parts of what looked like a scarlet hermit crab today but both of mine are still there and alive. So I am not sure where the legs came from.
Don’t worry the stick on thermometer isn’t used to do anything other than keep people sitting on the sofa from asking me what the temp of the water is. I have a digital thermometer I use.
But it does look like I have a shark sneeking up on me.

One of the hermits probably shed. They leave a little exoskeleton that looks exactly like a dead hermit.
Looking good, I don’t see much hair algae at all and the glass looks clean!
What are the plant type things? Where did you get them?

plastic deco. plants i am pretty sure… lolol lOl
Yup. Plastic (well the plant part of the sunken ship is “silk” flowers)
Most of the hair algae is on the black overflow box. Can’t see the pics here at work but I think you can see it in some of the pictures. It is pretty localized just about a 1 ft by 1 ft section lOl
What hair? everything looks pristine. maybe add a pouch of GFO to the filter to eliminate phosphates and also the hair that needs it.
Other wise, Nice Clowns, Star fish, Mop Top Land Shark!
Good job, the tank looks great! Love the clowns and the starfish. Bet your son is loving his own fishes? He is so cute!
The tank is coming along nicely. I wouldn’t worry about the algae at this point, (I sure couldn’t see it). New tanks all go through their algae cycles. Just keep up with your maintenance and maybe add a little GFO.
The clown sure are cute!
Last night I noticed that coraline is starting to grow on the return nozzles. PoM Not bad since the tank is about a month ago.
It really is the little things in life that make me happy.

But they won’t export nutrients …
But at least for the time being (starting out that is) they help camoflauge the overflow. At least a little.
We got them for the ship. Hey I like it. Was told it would have been better if it was a submarine.
You need a little scuba diver in there too!
