I am using the API kit. I retested this afternoon. I also got a hairy mushroom, which has apparently died and disentegrated. It looks like something has been nibbling on it.

New pararameters:
pH-7.8
nitrate- 20
nitrite- .25
ammonia- 0 to .25 (it was kind of inbetween)

I got a little fan, which is aimed at the tank, and I put a little sack of activated charcoal in the filter (removed the old one), also got a gallon of RO water, and it is resting overnight right now, I will do a water change tomorrow.

On a side note: I have a 20gal tall on a black stand with a 10gal sump. Overflow and return (Quiettone 1) and 20gal hanging filter. Was going to set-up a small tank for a buddy but might not follow through. Open to offers if that happens!

Oh tomorrow i get my 250w MH so i won’t need:

150W MH Sunpod with 3 nightlight panels B/W 48" no legs or hanging kit…
48" 4x 65w PCs White / Actinic

Accepting offers on both! Bulbs are about 6months old on the MH but the PCs are only 3months

The 20gal is about 12w x 30L x 12h

I’d like $200 for the MHs to offset what I paid for them… but i can’t give it up till my new ballast gets here.

Fail - My friend opened a tote with my bowling ball in it and placed it on the edge of another tote. It rolled off and smacked the side of the 20gal sump. Guess what happened? Nothing… he picked up the sump looked it over no damage put it down on my subwoofer and the corner of my sub cracked the bottom! Sry guys who were interested. I still have the PCs and MH for sale.
