He tested the all it was 11 dkh I think all numbers tested were good he posted the test results on page 1 or 2 not sure. Maybe Saltcreep will chime in on his experience just after a water change.

i pretty much lost everything (coral) except softies. I have been using a bucket of crystals that match the #'s in question… My coral went downhill pretty fast after a w/c … week later we did another large w/c… things got worse… everthing tested fine throughout. I never suspected my same ol tried n true salt brand though :

this all happened around our fragswap time, and its put a hurt on my interest in the tank for sure. All my fish are still great though YahoO
i have some salt left over, and tims gonna do some experiments/ testing…
I’m not sure if its the salt or not…we’ll see what he finds, but it would be nice to find a reason for the losses if thats possible…

Unfortunately there are so many parameters we can not test for, so regardless of how much testing we do you have to have a level of trust with the companies you work with. Companies that have a history with screwing over LFS and working with Petco, Petsmart, and Walmart have making $ as their top priority and not integrity, service, or quality.
