its the bear and the bull…when your dealing with large numbers…these types on things are inevitable…
in case youve forgot, we live in a system…we need CEO’s, we need blue collar workers, and we need mcdonalds employees…when mcdonalds employees start getting layed off we really have a problem…
umemployment, poverty, crime, and suffering are all part of the system…IMO i dont think the federal government should “bail” any of us out…
this recent down turn has actually stregthen the company i work at…we layed off the people who dont carry their weight…and divided their salaries amoung the people who actually do work by creating more work hours…
and another note…has anyone ever studied wars affect on the U.S. G.D.P…then u’d realize why we are so amped up to jump into whatever war is currently happening…
I agree I don’t think the government should be bailing anyone out. The people that needs bailing out do so because of their own poor business decisions and investments. My stock portfolio has declined dramatically in recent months - is the government going to give me my money back because of my poor investment strategies? I don’t think so.
The current economic situation is very unfortunate for some - however for the economy and the nation as a whole it was very much needed. Our spending had gotten out of control, our reliance on credit had become essential, our desire to keep up with the Jones’ detrimental, and our greed absurd.
The nation needed to be out in check and reminded of how to live more simply, to accept and appreciate what we have and not need to upgrade for the sake of wanting bigger, better, faster.

And that’s fine as long as the tank manufacturers are not jacking up tank prices by 200% a year just because they think we’ll pay it.
