Well, its been awhile… it hardly grew for three months (basically the whole summer) during some bad algae phases, and me learning to control the parameters. Its been doing really well the past couple of months, still a slow grower, but worth the wait.
John that looks awesome - beautiful piece.
So now that it’s growing off of the plug how come there isn’t a new disc next to it for it to grow on to?? (hint hint)
Good thinking, i was going to let it grow a while longer, then just take the plug. I might just have to go with a variation of your idea, and lightly expoxy some little rubble pieces around it for some easy frags… i’d like to get this growing in some more places, and sharing some would be nice too huh?

That’s a good idea - this way if anything happens to the mother colony you’ll have some clones out there to keep the genetic strain alive and growing…oh and maybe someone would give you a frag back to repopulate your tank too ;D
Looken like some nice growth John!!
Thanks, it’s really been taking off lately… PoM

I have like 4 sunset frags growing
Just another growth shot… and i added another growth shot, of yet another Houndsbayman frag…orange setosa i got at the Sept. meeting…
The super was pretty slow at first, but i think that was mainly because of the tank maturing, and my learning curve on how to maintain params…
End of May 10’ when i got it…
here’s a shot from 2 months ago…
Here’s now…
Here’s the setosa beginning of Oct 10’…
And now…
Very nice growth shots John, they look very nice.
Wow the setosa is really growing
Glad to see you having good success with the montis, John, looks good. I just got my superman and a rainbow from John (Houndsbayman) as well. Hopefully with the same success as yours.
