Well since no one was really interested I played with the wave2k a little and found a way to make it quieter so I guess I’m going to keep it for now.

Wish that worked for wives …
^^^ >LOL<
Ken’s tanks looked mighty impressive when I swung by the other day. I took a couple of quick snap shots with my cell phone while I was there. Haven’t gotten permission from him to post them though so I’ll hold off until he says it is ok.
Tease.
Well Ken hasn’t posted on here yet so I suppose he doesn’t want me to post the images…
He’s waiting for his dial-up! lOl
Oh come on!
My philosophy is do first ask later. If he doesnt want them up, remove them. Its not like he’ll sue ;D
Well Ken hasn't posted on here yet so I suppose he doesn't want me to post the images....the last time Ken was online was 4 days before you posted this thread!
Come on Jon - it’s ALWAYS easier to ask for forgiveness then permission!!!

Darn it! THATS the line i was trying to think of!!! Corrupt Great minds think alike! :GEEK:
Now it just comes down to laziness. The pics are on the computer upstairs and it’s turned off so I can’t get them off the network and I don’t feel like walking up the steps.

LOL, ahh come on Jon. You can’t be that lazy can you???
We all want to see.
You are correct Shawn, I havent logged on for a few days. just caught up on my post reading. I havent seen the pics yet either. But what the heck, I finally took hammer and chissel to all the coraline that was encrusting the front glass of the 75 and my older frag tank. First time in a long time i can see in the tanks. So lets celebrate and go ahead and post em Jon. Email me a copy of them too. i might want to send to some friends.
Be warned, these tanks have seen better days. I’ve been fighting a variety of algae infestations and just plain old neglect on the two older tanks. the new frag tank is eerrr well … New. still getting past some cyano slime or something . I’ve been slowly removing rock and corals from the 75. I plan to replace it with a 120RR or maybe larger. soon as i run that verticilatta algae off the rock. so i can cure it in a barrel and reuse it. The 75 has been running for over 10 years now. been through a lot of crashes, the 2003 hurricane Isabell 5 day power outage and other stuff. the old frag tank, almost the same, since 2002.
Lets see em Jon!

Everytime one of you guys say something like that your tanks look amazing! ;D Thats exactly what Jon said before the picnic and we all know how awesome his system looked!

That’s funny, the first time I saw Kens 75 I didn’t notice the coraline algae blocking the glass although you could not look in the front glass. His Caps and corals were so healthy and growing they grew to the glass and started to attach to it. He turned off the return pump to still the water and opened the canopy and the most amazing display of corals lay beneath the water line (one grew over the water line.) There were corals growing everywhere. Very neat and basic setup. People always talk about the latest and greatest this or that but Ken has mastered simple with his setup and confirms that different tanks can be run entirely different and still succeed.
That verticulata stuff sucks. Can’t wait till he eradicates it.
Also kens frag tanks are interesting. He has stony and Soft growing well right next to each other.
If you want clowns he has breed them too. Currently he has around 75 baby/young adult clowns swiming in a tank

It’s been a while since you have seen my tanks, Al. a lot has changed, been removed, died off and stuff. the Caps on the front glass crashed after smothering the sand bed below them. i saved some and moved em to the old frag tank. I removed the blue/green GEBC palys growing on the front glass too. the left side is still half covered with them though. They go next. they slime and sting things too much. so the front is clear. at last.
But Al, i still have your big Yellow Tang in the 40 breeder below the old frag tank. Hes still doing fine with a large bristle tooth tang for company. Let me know when you want him back.
Somebody wake up Jon, the suspense is killing me.
