As we discussed at the meeting, it’s about that time of the year again where we start thinking about who we would like to lead this great club of ours.
We will be holding elections at the October meeting, so let’s use this thread to nominate club members for the officer positions. If you are interested in taking on a role, by all means, please feel free to volunteer / nominate yourself.
While I have sincerely enjoyed the privilege of being President for the past 2.5 years, I would like to see some others step up and take the lead. I feel that if there is no change in leadership, there is minimal room for growth, change, advancement, or improvement.
So now is the time - who do YOU want to advance the club forward?

Craig, THANK YOU! for all you’ve done/ do for the club! talk about advancing and improving… the boom in sponsorship, the adopt-a-highway, the fragswap, the stand-up comedy… i could go on and on here…
I for one can def appreciate the personal time you’ve put into the club, not only the past 2 1/2 years as Prez, but for all the years serving DRC before that also…
Ummm I haven’t been a member too long. But I can’t imagine anyone else as pres. No offense to anyone else but that person has to deal with a lot and do a lot so I hope you stay. I also appreciate all you have done. I for sure couldn’t do it lol. I thought you had a four year term

Well I will say this - I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as president, and will continue to be if he club as a whole wants me to. With that being said, we will still have an election, and everyone who want to vote for me is welcome to. But please understand - I volunteer my time for a lot of different things - most of which involve my kids - and as much as I love this hobby, my fish, and my tank, and as much as I like you guys - the kids will continue to come first. So if you’re ok with me coming to meetings late, and not updating the news announcements on the website in a timely fashion, I will continue to work with everyone and come up with new ideas to make the club bigger and better.
I like our current officers, and thinks we’ve all worked very well together, but would like to see some others step up more and take a more active role in moving the club forward.
So who wants to step up and take a more active role?
I’m thinking we need to consider John (Saltcreep), Frank (Hudzon), John (Houndsbayman), Bill (Billrob), and Ken - at a very minimum.
I only been a member of this club for the past 2 years and this is the first time ever that I have done something like this. And as far as I know Craig, you have been doing a great job leading this club along with all the officers. I myself don’t see anything broken so, it don’t need to be fix.
We all understand about our family priorities. We all know where you’re coming from. I’m sure no one mind if your late or for some reason you can’t show up. We all do what we can. Same goes for doing things for the club. I try to do what I can to help out, if nothing else stop me from doing it.
I agree with A it’s working great from what I see. We all have more important things to do and anyone that doesnt understand that has nothing to do lol. Jason really? Can we ever get a serious comment from you? :BB)
Hey Tim you got some nerve! :-)### I tried to be the president of an offroad club in nj before I moved down here. It’s not an easy job nor would I wish it on anybody. Being the president is a very tiresome position. Craig for what it’s worth I think the current officers we have appear to be doing a great job! If you folks feel your family is suffering then don’t let us keep you from that. But with that being said if you guys want to stay in office you all have my vote.
I think what we have now is great but I think the officers need more support, I volunteer to take on web design, updates and news updates.
I also volunteer to take lead on the road clean up project.
I hope everyone in their current position stays. Everything works great I wish I could have Craig’s attitude seems like a go getter and that’s what the president shoul be. I can admit I’m lazy lol
I too agree with if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. But also can sympathize with craig as family must come first. My vote is to keep the current officers and others in the club step up to help out with some of the duties. As Frank has said he is willing to step up with the road cleanup and web site stuff. How about a frag swap committee(3-4 persons0 too take some of the load off Craig.

i think the current officer are doing a awesome job…frag swap committee would be a great idea i would def be willing to help with or anything else to make less work on officers.
