22K + shark pool build in DE

Does anyone know who this person is? He is building a shark pool. I would love to see this build.

One is a pool, the other will probably be a fiberglass tank with a low FE or acrylic viewing panel. It think it is currently set at 15 * 6 feet for the tank, and 5 foot high to total around 3300 gal and 18 * 28 * 6 for the pool ~ 22,000 gal.

No Idea, A. but he must be north of Wilmington, judging by the hills ands trees.

Don’t know but sent him a message on R.C.

I’m betting up off 100 / 52 somehwere.

I have my reasons.

Maybe we could arrange a club trip

He mentions township permits in the thread. Possibly Kennett? If the location is indeed in Delaware, it would probably be the largest tank in the state.

Could be a Delaware township there are a couple of those around, Delaware township, NJ Delaware township, IN plus I’m sure there are others, but would be cool if they were local and could maybe come to a meeting or maybe even the swap and give a presentation.

I’m also very curious… I’m hoping he’s out my way in Newark by the whiteclay area…some gigantic houses back in there…or possible greenville?

Guys I got a response back from this person, still not sure where he is but he as been to our meetings before but it’s been a while.

He was coming to the meetings when they were at the library

His name is Carmen. I gave him a invite so maybe hear from him on here, to give us some up-dates.

I couldn’t imagine the maintenance routine with a system that large. Especially a predator tank stocked with sharks. He is going to have to have one heck of a filtration system. Pretty cool though, if I ever hit the lottery…

Lives in centerville

Cool! I hope he does comes to our meeting and give us a briefing on the pool.

He just posted yesterday on RC that his friend was building a 30ft indoor shark pool also!!!

I spoke to Carmen on the phone this afternoon. He lives in chaddsford up off of 52. Super nice guy, he is going to try to make it to a meeting,he said its hard because be works in bucks county.i gave him the site info so maybe he will pop on.this sounds like a pretty nice setup,I wil keep you posted if I get any updates

Hey everyone. It has been a while since being apart of DRC. I actually found my old membership card tonight, it expired by about 10 years ago. I am going to try to make a meeting to renew it though. Anyway, I’m going to put together a post of my collection this weekend, I have some pretty interesting stuff to share. In the interim, here is a pic of a friend’s new build. He poured the walls last week.

Welcome back and really looking forward to your updates and other tank info…

Glad to have you here. I will admit now, your thread on RC was enough to make me join that forum again. I wanted to follow along.

Now maybe I can just follow here GolfC

Hey Carmen
Good to see ya here ::thumbsup:: looking forward to the updates

Welcome back Carman :Welcome)

When I first saw your post on RC I was very excited to see the build. Then I saw it was being build in DE, then holly crap why no one around here knows it was being built.

Looking forward to your briefing on the build if you can provide for us and hope thing are going well with the build. I follow your thread on RC and I see your working on the HVAC issue.

WOW! That’s a big overflow slot in the wall. Can’t wait to see how big the sump return pump is.
