What’s the correct way to do it. Read a few different ways.
First make sure your SG is accurate since this is where you’re adding/replenishing much of your Ca, Mg and Alk to begin with. Measure your Mg, Ca and alk and, using your supplements, get those to a level you’re happy with(starting with Mg), i.e. Mg @ 1200ppm to 1400ppm, Ca @ 410ppm, Alk @ 8dKH. Once you have them where you want them, start to monitor and record your uptake over a few days. Use the calculator attached, fill in the blanks for your system, and select the appropriate supplement from the drop down menu’s to get your dose(use the calculator to get your initial doses too). Divide the dose over the time you were testing to get the daily dose, monitor for a few more days to fine tune the dose(this will take a little trial and error). It’s also important to keep a regular WC schedule for both frequency and volume, so you don’t skew your dosing too much. Dosing should be in equal parts of each supplement( Ca and Alk ).

Specific Gravity/Salinity, i.e. 1.026/35ppt.
Got ya . I have a good/high calcium and alk. Just not sure if I keep it steady enough. I have only added when I test
Dave, do you have alot of acros? I’m not sure you need 2part if not? Calc and alk helps hard coral grow. If you don’t have many of these you might not need to dose this. I would be more concerned with maintaining ph. If and when you check your alk and calc are they low? If so how low? If they are not low then you don’t need to add that stuff just yet.
I have two small frags. Both have actually shown growth. When I test I normally get 380-420ppm calcium. And alk is 8-10dkh. So I try to stay around that area.
