During last nights meeting I explained to everyone that I was going to be doing an experiment on my tank and seeing if it reflects a poor or positive result. This week all of the supplements and additives should be arriving. I will be posting pictures and result statistics to monitor any growth. For those that were not able to attend as of right now the only extra additive that I have been adding to my aquarium is “reef trace” and a PH buffer. This was added to my ATO in no specific measurement, just when ever I refilled my ATO bucket I would add a cap full of each. This week I have Kalkwasser coming in and have already purchased “Coral-Vite”. This idea came from a friend Mike that is on the forum. I got a chance to check out his tank and was amazed at the display. My plans are to add the Kalkwasser to my ATO only and to place 3 drops of “Coral-Vite” into the display everyday. The PH buffer and reef trace will be removed completely. I will continue my normal feeding regiment of target feeding corals 2x a week with a mix of reef snow, phytoplankton, and oyster feast. I do have reef roids on its way as well. I am going to feed the mix one day and roids another. I will post pictures of everything this week once it all arrives. If you have any questions along the way feel free to ask. As of right now my parameters are as follows:
Temp- 70
Mag- 1440
Calcium- 440
Alk- 9
Ammonia-0
Nitrates- 0
Nitrites- 0
Phos- 0
Thanks for your presentation last night. Very informative. Good luck with your supplements and additives! We are looking forward to seeing the results.

BRS Kalkwasser has come in. I have cleared out my ATO bucket from the buffer and reef trace water, filled it with 5 gallons of regular RODI water and have added 4 TBSP of Kalkwasser to the bucket. Im going to let it sit for a couple hours before turning the ATO back on. Today I also started the Coral-Vite supplement. I add 3 drops everyday straight to the display. I will do this everyday except Sundays and Mondays, reason being is because Sunday is my water change day and Mondays I feel my salt mix will still have plenty of minerals still available in the water column from the recent water change.
