remeber my petkare job doesnt pay me much so im trying to keep it cheap! or else i would just buy a solaris system and spend like $3000 lOl if only i had a lot of money!
Did you see the video of the install of a solaris system? Check the cool video in the main forum. That was more of a $4000 lighting system though.
That light seem a little cheap IMHO. Does anyone here own one and can attest to their performance?
Personally, I’d stay away from any fixture with PC’s @ this point … unless you’re looking to gut it and retro to T5’s within a year. The cost of PC bulbs seem to be skyrocketing.
But, like I said, if you’re willing/capable (both ability and $$$) of retro-ing a year down the road … might not be a bad deal. I know logans_daddy bought a MH/PC fixture about a year ago (Odessea, I think) and just retro’d it. Now it’s a sweet fixture, but I’m pretty sure he bought it knowing he was going to retro down the road. Now he’s got a sweet looking fixture with remote Icecap ballasts.
how hard is it to retro it to t5’s or would u just suggest getting a mh t5 combo light?
I just bought that light fixture off aquatraders.com for $329.00! You would spend $368.00 buying it off e-bay! The initial price is $329.00 but free shipping.
