How are we supposed to spend any time on the show floor with so many good speakers lined up? Or see the speakers with so many awsome vendors!

Ok, I’ve cloned zoanthids before anyone have any experience clonning Homo sapians? I need to be in two places at once!
LOL! Hence the beauty of our Workshops being ON THE TRADE SHOW FLOOR! Three work shops areas will be located on the trade show floor. There will be a big screen monitor and an audio system broadcasting these sessions that are designed to demonstrate reefkeeping techniques that you can actually bring home with you. You’ll get to have your cake and eat it too . . . . mmmm . . . . caaaaake . . . .

Well ladies and gentlemen, it’s THAT time again! Time to start leaking out some of the fantastic raffle items that we’ll have at this years MACNA. If you’ve ever been to an NJRC Frag Swap, you know that we don’t mess around when it comes to raffles . . . we love to make it worth your while! And this year, we’re hosting MACNA, and well that’s like a 3 Day Frag Swap on Steroids. With that in mind, it would be completely wrong of us to do raffles on one day only. We NEEEEEEED to do them ALL THREE DAYS and that’s just what we plan to do. Yep, raffles Friday, raffles Saturday and ridiculous raffles on Sunday. Here is just a teeny tiny, little glimpse of what we have in store (we wouldn’t want to tip our hat this early, trust us, there’s MUCH more to come!):

 • Nautilus EX 30 Skimmer,
 • PSK-75H Hang-on Protein Skimmer,
 • MP10, MP20 and MP40W Vortech setups…that’s three separate setups
 • Artificial Reef #31,
 • Geo 612 Calcium Reactor,
 • United Pet Group tank, stand and canopy,
 • 180g All Glass tank and stand with a MarcoRocks custom rock creation, and an Aquatinics Constellation Hybrid light fixture,
 • Great White 300gpd RO/DI unit.

Drool! Two years at MACNA my girl friend and I came out with out arms full of free stuff from the vendors. Last year at the NJRC Frag Swap Andy, Ken, Steph, and I all left with our hands full from the raffle. This year is going to be SWEET!

Suppose thats what you pretty much have to do when you win a 180 gallon tank! That or get the boss to let me bring my work van. I’ll cross my fingers and bring my good luck charm.

We just had to share these…check out these 3 great prizes …
But, there’s just one catch----you have to BE THERE to win!!!

Get your ticket NOW!!! Go to www.macnaxxi.com

Friday, a Nikon D40 camera with an 18-55mm lens will be among the prizes raffled off…

Saturday, a Dell Inspiron 1525 workbook is one of the raffle prizes…

Sunday, you could walk away with a 52 inch Sony Bravia LCD TV. Just the tip of the iceburgh on Raffle Sunday!

if i buy the tickets online, do i print them, do they mail them or do i pick up there?

bc i just payed via paypal… im confused.

Pretty sure you show up with an ID and pick up your pass there.

Tip for first timers. Some people collect their passes(which usually kind of look like back stage passes on fancy lanyards), so it may be a good idea to hang on to them. I’ve got a bunch hanging from a lamp. One of the members of the DVRC has them all attached to his frag bag and you can’t even see the bag through the passes.

All of the tickets will be available for pickup when you arrive at the event. There will be a large registration area setup outside of the exhibit hall and we will have your registration materials and goodie bag ready for you when you get there!

See you there!

do i need my paypal reciept? id? the debit card i used?

Your name should be more than enough, but having your receipt handy can’t hurt.

Your debit card you’ll DEFINITELY want with you so that you can purchase raffle tickets and goodies from the vendors! Everything from rock to corals to a Premium Aquatics group buy (10% off presale with pickup at the show).

so how many people are coming??? If so what days? Im going friday bright and early as possible. I think they let non masna members in at 11… am i correct on this?

Here’s a note from one of our MANY exhibitors:

"MACNA is probably one of the most important events of the year. It is a NATIONAL event that is hosted by a different club in the US each year. Reefkeepers in the tri-state area are very lucky that this year it is in New Jersey. It’s really a 2 part event, both of which can be extremely valuable to reefkeepers. You’ll have manufacturers and the larger vendors from all over the US at this show in the exhibit hall. This is were you can learn about the latest and greatest equipment available for your tanks. You’ll be able to talk with online vendors that you usually only deal with via email. This gives you a chance to meet the people behind the scenes.

The second part of MACNA are the speakers. By far this is where you will pick up the most info. I would recommend that you take a look at the list of speakers and topics on the MACNA site make a hit list of the speakers that you want to hear. The workshops are very special in that they are up close and personal. I would highly suggest that you visit at least one workshop each day.

MACNA is also a great way to meet others in forums across the country that you have been involved in. Many forums will have a booth at MACNA and you’ll find the more active members of the forums will be hanging around the booth.

If you plan ahead, you’ll have plenty of time to walk thru the exhibit hall many times, listen to some speakers and join in the workgroups, making your visit to MACNA a really enlightened experience." – Brian Griffin, Ocean Gallery Aquatics

Wondering which vendors are going to be there? Here’s the floor plan… so far!

Do you have topics yet from all of the speakers? I always try to plan out things ahead of time to hit the best speakers and have time to walk the vendors over and over again. I like listening to Calfo and Sprung, but if I’ve heard their topics twice already I think my time would be better spent elsewhere.

We should have topics up shortly. We’re working on getting the last of the speakers to fill in the blanks! We’ll post back when we have all of the topics posted!
