Thanks, jon. What should i use to hold the water then…
+1 For the pump for you ATO I would recommend a Tom Aquatics Aqua-Lifter. Will pump water very slowly through airline tubing. It is all you will need and you can get one for under $20 from most LFS I believe. they are usually $15 anywhere.
I have to stop by Fishbowl sat, do they carry them?
Honestly I am not sure if they carry them, but you can call and ask before you leave. You also pass by three other stores on your way, so by making some phone calls you are sure to find one.
Really, which others do i pass by?
not sure if they have any right now but can order them and get them fairly quickly. pm fishguy and ask him
Its a hour and a half hike for me, lol, so it wouldnt make sense for him to order it then me have to come down again… i still need to talk to him though
yes but if he orders tomorrow it may be here saterday. noot sure so def contact him
Ya, i just Pmed him. Havent seen him on recently… i want to get this tank moved… Do i have to worry about siphoning with this pump?
As far as what to use to hold the water it’s a tough call. Most small rubber made type containers, that are cheap at hardware stores and walmarts, are not food safe containers and can supposidly leak chemicals into your water and will get brittle in time. The 10g may be the best way to go, but you may want to get some black background from an LFS to tape on the sized to help block the light.
You should always keep in mind the possability of back siphoning. Just mount the air line tubing so that it is not in the tank water, but above it then there is no problems.
Hmm, okay dokay… maby spray paint?.. im going to spray paint the PVC that will show in the tank… what paint is ok to use?
ok, so as long as it is not in the water it wont siphon?.. ahhh cause its lower, nvm im retarded
yes leave an air gap just get one of those air line holders and cut tubing above high marked water level
ahhhhh, okay… i am soooo stupid lol… got it… so there, ATO is settled…
what else was on my list… regaurding the power supply… is that a good plan… or do you guys have any better ideas…

most people use krylon fusion.
inside stand on center boards. most have screw holes in back of timers or strips. just remember to always have drop loops on all extension cords.
okay thanks Martin…
Thanks Nemmy…
Seems to be coming together, the final things is plumbing and getting tanks drilled… which wont happen until the day of the move…
That is typically what I do for power strips.
Krylon fusion works. I was going to recommend that earlier when someone made a comment on the purple primer. If you really cared what the pipes were like or if they were visible spray painting them black may not be a bad idea. It is supposidly reef safe as well so you can spray paint any tubing that is in the tank to help hide it. Tons of people do it and I have as well in the past. Though it does seem to come off eventually.
Oh btw sinse you have spent enough time in the hardware stores recently I will save you some time and tell you that you will likely not find the Krylon paints there. Check your local walmart. I think I may have seen tme in Tractor supply as well at some point.
okay, thanks… i love Sears and home depot… lol… jk… ill have to check walmart then TS then the internet…
