just popped up
what might they be?
searched google images and close, but nothing close enough.
Look like ceriths to me.
+1 on the Cerith! I have had these guys breeding in my systems for years. Ive seen some of mine that have the lighter colors in the point like that but for the most part they are solid black. The best that i can tell mine are the same as the ones commonly sold as “mexican” and “dwarf” ceriths. Because these snails are often sold very cheaply i would imagine that its because of their prolific breeding in captivity. Everyone that has gotten these snail from me has thad them breed for them as well.
You havent seen a billion babies until you have seen my systems!! ;D
Without exaggeration, i probably have at least 5000+ snails between my all my stems at various stages of growth!
thanks on the id. i appreciate it. they are tiny, which makes them even seem more abundant, somehow.
Shawn have you ever seen them actually walk on the corals? Just curious.
Shawn have you ever seen them actually walk on the corals? Just curious.walk? as in bi-pedal locomotion? ;D not yet, but if i do you will be the first to know!
the end up all over my corals which is kind of a PIA if the get stuck because its an eyesore until the coral can grow around the snail and cover it up.
