too many people to thank. your tanks made me drool. as some of you may know, i had tanks way back in the 70’s and lost them all in a week [general 55, an invert 80 hex, and 120 high trigger only tank]. no idea what i was doing! lousy equip, no water changes, straight up flourescents, crappy salt, poor critters, poorly collected. always wanted to be successful at it, but never had the guts to try again. i feel i’m on the right path. not really assured/confident though until a year is up.
this is the best hobby ever.

THANKS everybody for the compliments. It is extremely rewarding do be somewhat successful. i have lost 1 acan that melted, a gorgonian that i shouldn’t have had in the first place, 3 shrimp that disappeared, 1 yw goby that jumped, and assorted snails/cuc critters. that’s not bad, considering that there are over 55 corals in the tank at present and 8 fish. each loss hurt but i learned from them all.

hopefully my tank will look that good at some point. I am jealous of your clams lol, i think i need to do a lighting upgrade so i can get some clams sometime in the future.
