Check the temp in your tank. Heaters can malfunction, contacts welding them self together. Water gets HOT!!! Lucky I got this in time. ::hitsthefan::

Controllers are good insurance. No fish or inverts were harmed.

Wow I am glad you caught that!!! I woke up to a smell this morning and found that my power head was shorting out and burned a hole through my power strip.

We should all use GFCI outlets with our systems. This prevents an electrical short from being fatal to the critters we care for and ourselves. I am guilty of not switching all my tanks to them. I will however do it very soon!

This just reemphasizes the importance of drip loops and redundant heater control.
