I put my Trimma Cana in my 24AQ, and i think the sixline scares it, so it became nocturnal…
I cant stand that because now i cant enjoy it lol… So my question is could I put it in the 8 gallon with my clown goby? Would they co-exist and would the bio-load then be too high?
Honestly not sure if it would be ok with a clown goby, but are you sure you wouldn’t be able to enjoy it as a nocturnal animal? Perhaps leave dim actinic light on for 12 hours a day and bright moonlights after that?
A lot of people in the hobby start of with 12-14 hour photo periods as they want to enjoy there tank every hour they are awake. When they are told less of a photo period well grow less algae they just accept it. With the right moonlights you tank could have a proper photo period and you could still enjoy your tank 14 hours a day or more.
Just my two cents. Often times we fight things in the hobby that we could often just learn to love the way they are.
I did change my lights from 12 hours to 10… I have moonlights on the tank, no actinics. I just feel bad if he’s nocturnal due to the sixline. Its hard to feed him, i drop pellets in before i go to sleep though.
I guess its kinda cool to have like the sun polyps open at night the hermits graze alot at night and my trimma
Keep an eye on the hermits even some of the reef safe ones might go after food inside of the sun coral. Likely won’t be a major issue, but just something to watch out for.

i have to sit and fend off the hermits in my tank with a long stick during the feeding of my corals…
the top of a 2 liter bottle works great if they r somewhere u can set it over the coral. cut off about 6" of the top, remove the lid, place the bottle over the coral, shoot some food thru the top and screw the lid on. then just take it off in a half hour or so. thats what we do in the store… seems like shrimp r awesome food bandits also.
