im looking for someone or company to refinish my tank. there are some scratches i need to be sanded down and get the tank to a like new state. the tanks is empty now i want to get it done before i install it in my new home. the tank is around 4 ft h X 5 ft W

Are you a diy kinda guy? i know they sell the kits/ compounds to do it…

i am but i do not want to make it worse. i rather pay someone who has done this before. the tank is too nice to damage.
I know what you mean, leave it to the professionals, its not like you’re trying it out on a 20g guppy tank here .
give the other guys a day or so to see this, maybe “KaptKen”, or “Gordonious” will know a local person/business.

i am debating on doing a big reef or maybe having someone make me a large city of piladelphia repelica. i would like the buildings to be 4 ft tall with open windows on some for the fish to swim thru. im up in the air. i have had little luck with corals in the lower part of the tank and it is a bear to add at that depth.
I would start by calling some local glass companies, a lot of them polish out acrylic.
watch the tv show TANKED. they do it every day on their mega acrylic tanks. just a big angle buffer and pads with various grit compound. practice on a scrap piece of acrylic until you get good at it
How about a body shop/paint guy. they should have the touch.
