Can any officers please let me know if AJM Reef LED is one of our sponsor? if so, are there any discount for DRC members. These are the LED fixtures that John and Matt bought. Also, that we purchase for golden ticket prize that John (Saltcreep) won. Thanks

Just a few too late for me A. I just purchased two from ReefBreeders (Full Spectrum build, no optics). At the time I liked RB’s over AJM for two reasons.

  1. Better White spectrum due to Cool and Warm White LED’s. This is no longer the case, and they’re very similar to AJM with just Cool Whites now. (This is evaluating both of their Full Spectrum setups)

  2. AJM - 1yr Warranty. RB - 2yr Warranty.

However: If you want optics. AJM is $5 cheaper per unit. And I dont think I got a $10 discount for ordering two like AJM offers. RB appears to ship with 90 degree power cords, so they hug the fixture better. Not a concern for you since it wouldn’t be visable unless one was on the business side of your fish room. Either way, I consider them to be pretty much the same. RB is a few dollars more, but you get a 2yr warranty. Pick your poison.

Thanks for the info Rob. I’ll take a look and compare the two. Seems from what you said is pretty much the same except for the warranty and few dollars in price.
