Announcing the New Jersey Reef club Frag swap.

New Jersey Reefers Club is preparing for our fourth annual coral event, the 2010 Frag Swap. For those of you who were able to attend the past few years we will contiune in the NJRC tradition! We’ve got a great speaker lineup from around the country and we’re recruiting local stores, On-line retailers, and local area Fraggers as vendors for the swap. We expect to have more than 25 vendors, and are well on our way.

Hope to see you all there!

NJRC has put on some nice events in the past including last years MACNA. Should be good times.

Bit of a drive this time. Do you have a list of topics the speakers will be giving or a vendor list?

awesome, its only an hour from me. ill be there

yeah, that’s a lot closer than last years near NYC.

Come on Ken. Last year there was no normal frag swap it was MACNA. It was two years ago that it was in REAL northern NJ, overlooking NYC.

I guess time flies when i’m having fun!

Greetings Fellow Reefers,

As many of you know we are hosting our annual fragswap on Saturday, November 6th from 9 am to 5pm. Right now we are running an advanced sale special on admission. The current price is $15 for an individual and $20 for a family but that special price will be ending on Oct 2. Sign up now for the discounted price for the three excellent speakers (Christine Williams, Richard Ross and Tony Vargas), the vendors you love and of course the great raffle items.

The vendor floor plan is really starting to fill up. NJ Academy of Aquatic Sciences will be joining us along with Allquatics, Pacific East Aquaculture, Cherry Corals, Champion Lighting, Brightwell Aquatics, 5 Star Reef Bar, East Coast Aquatics, Marco Rocks, Dr Jim’s Reef Corner, SMCooler, IceCap, Acan Lighting, GeoPeak Energy, Reef Nutrition, KnockOut Aquatics, Frags Unlimited, Reef N Ponds

Hope to see you all there!

Oh, I wonder if MacroRocks will take orders and bring them. Are they bringing rocks to pick through?

Not only is he bringing rocks, he is going to be putting some up for raffle ;D

We have almost filled up the entire hall!!! There will be something for everyone.

Less than a week to go until our fragswap and we are incredibly excited here at NJRC. You have now seen our full floor plan with the some of the best vendors out there. will this raffle be done like a silent auction where people put raffle tickets in a bucket for the item they want?

Last Call … For All-coral-haul !!

Is anybody going to thw swap? The previous ones have been very good!

I can’t make it. got things to do. Like take our one year collection of burned out, worn out mercury filled flourescent, PC, and MH bulbs to the fall HouseHold Hazardous Waste Recycleing station event Saturday morning.

http://dswa.com/

I need to clear the space in the garage for collecting other “stuff”. But I want to thank you all for bringing in and contributing your old bulbs for recycle this past year. That will keep their mercury out of the oceans and the reefs. there is one more collection this year in December, in case you miss it.

Be Good, be Green and Recycle to keep the Ocean Clean!

Hopefully they stay true to something they had decided a long time ago… dividing up the big meetings between the north and the south. I would have liked to have gone, but it would have been a LONG day with the northern location. Hopefully next year is a little closer.

Actually Jon, this one was a lot closer than the last one I went to you with that was just outside of New York. This one was only about a hour and 20 away. I wish I could have gone, but next year my systems should be moved and ready.
