I never was asked for money nor do I know any details or how to go about paying whoever, whatever. Depending on how much it is, I’m sure I could swing it. What does the money pay for? Just meeting spots? I don’t see a need for that, I like having the meetings at peoples houses where we could have a tank in the background.

i did pay at the armco meeting last month. ive always wondered why i cant view the membership section of the website… is that only for premium members also?
Jeff, they pay for you to get on this site and post. Its somewhere around 10-15 bucks. I believe there is some info on the main page. It helps support the hobby and grow the club, two things we all love.
worry look to the left of your post…you are a paid premuim member…and as far as the cost like another 10 bucks in this hobby is nothin… pep shrimp i will check out site and see if they have anything i want and let ya know.

I am wondering why I am not listed as a premium member as I paid when I registered to post. I didn’t know there was a difference. I did receive a receipt for my payment from paypal.

At the top of the page is a menu. One of the items is “About DRC”. The very first item in the drop-down menu is Membership. Click that, and you will be enlightened.
And, as mentioned above, some portion of those dues enable this site to be here.
If you are listed as a “Regular Member”, it means you have not paid yearly DRC dues. If you are listed as a “Premium Member”, it means you have.
For those that have paid and are listed incorrectly:
(1) Please bear with the admin team, we’re volunteers doing this in addition to everything else life throws our way.
(2) Feel free to PM any officer/admin/mod squad member and let us know that you are incorrectly listed as a “Registered Member”.

I don’t have a place really. So no. Once I get my own house, I might have a meeting. Depends on how many people we are talking about. I’d love to host one someday, but I am not having dozens of people running through my house. Plus I am still working on my tanks, waiting for new arrivals and other equipment, definitely a work in progress, so until then, I am holding out :GEEK:
