Anyone with a booster pump?

My RO/DI system came in today, and i thought i had decent water pressure…apparently not…so anyone have a 1/4" booster pump and transformer laying around?

It should still work you should have 40psi right?

im between 35-40 … i hooked up to the kitchen faucet and its the strongest…which i cant figure out because my hose outside has serious pressure! but it only reads about 35-40psi … recommended is 50…i have alot of waste water and took forever to make 2.5 gallons…guess i could always leave it alone and just get a booster in the next few weeks…need to save some money for some of your corals YahoO

Lol it will make just slow I have a Tds meter would be a good idea to check it out. Just keep track of how much you make and how long the di resin lasts.

It came with a built in TDS meter (i think) thats what the paperwork says but ive got no idea what those numbers mean lol

35-40 is low. Can you adjust the pressure switch on your well pump? I think theyre supposed to be 40-60

Oh yeah you want 0 after di but if it reads after membrane usually 2-10 on average. What do they say?

Just run cold water no hot water

I’m not sure, its not hooked up anymore, ill hook it up tomorrow afternoon when i get done with work and make some more water. I picked up a few 5gallon buckets so i can get a water change done over the weekend.

The TDS has a in setting and out setting, should i have it set to out when its running to see those numbers?

If you can find a place, like in a utility room, to hook it up permanent, and use a reservoir with a ASOS, you will be much better off, remember never let your RO membrane dry out now that it haw been wet.

You might even pick up a few PSI if you get closer to the main and put in a valve just for the RODI unit.
