seen these aquripure nitrate filters on the net. anyone try them or have any input on them
Before I purchased this I would look into vodka dosing or DIY denitrators. Seems as if this is the same thing, only more expensive.
agreed. i looked into this exact model when i was first interested in getting a denitrator. I ended up going with an way overpriced(and poorly made) sulfur denitrator from midwest aquatics. I now wish i took the time to build a DIY one since ive modified mine to the point that thats what it now is. As soon as things calm down and i can get some volunteers im hoping to make equipment available to the club(denitrators, Ca reactors, media reactors, Kalk stirrers, ATO’s, etc). I know we have the talent and know how within our club to make equipment that will look almost as if its manufactured and im hoping we can do it sooner than later.

great. it might be a while before we can get things going but i will definitely keep you in mind. I always do when it comes to plumbing! lol

Its way undersized and i have no delusions that it will be able to keep up but right now its working just fine because of the bioload. 5 fish in a 265g tank! ;D Ive already modified it so that i can add a second media chamber in the future when i need to. Im also using my old Geo Ca Reactor as a denitrator for my other system that im overhauling as i type this.
