I have one now, white and small… its on the glass… from what i have read the white are fine and the blue are the bad… any thoughts theres only one i can find right now so i wana get him out before he drops a leg…
In my expierience your fine!!! i have dozens and dozens in all my tanks…
If you see them on corals thats bad, but 99% of them are harmless
should i just get rid of the one now or keep him…
garf said they were coral eaters years ago and since then reefers panic when they see them, but most say they are fine and im one of them.
all in all though most stars are omniviors and if starved will eat what they can, even other stars, but in a reef tank food is too plentiful for them to go for your babies.
i hope so… im getting rid of them if i see them…
i got a lot ( from icy’s rock) there fine they eat coraline but that just makes them great glass cleaners. i rember icys tank haveing up 100 on the glass at a time never harmed a coral in his tank as far as i know.
mine crawl across the back of my tank and never once eat any of the wall of coralline
Often times might be better to ask the local guys rather then do a google search and end up on a massive forum with massive amounts of miss information. That being said you can try searching this forum as well.

thanks ill just let it go…
Yeah, when we were taking down the 90 I probably saw about 2,000 all together. And if you look at the past TOTM pics you will notice that it doesnt really look like they were hampering the coral growth at all.
