Picked this guy up in N.Y. over last weekend. Thought he would adjust to my tank because he is smaller than the other tangs. Even after a 5 1/2 hr trip, he looked just fine. It worked out great because we got home after the lights in the tank were out. Got chased around a little by my yellow tang, but soon became one of the guys or gals. He is eating everything so far.
Craig, he is only about 4 inches, tiny little guy and Jon I bought from a store in Centereach, L.I. called Paradise Fish & Reef. They had some really nice coral tanks with big, healthy looking corals and good prices also.
Beautiful fish John. Ours is very well behaved for the most part but ive read they can get pretty nasty. Especially with other tangs. Im sure introducing a smaller one after your other tangs will help a lot.
Good to hear. Tangs need to eat a lot and it is always a good sign when they are putting on weight. I’ve always liked the powder blue tangs. Never understood why people went for Powder brown’s when the blues were usually just as available and very similar in their niche.
I have tried PBT b4, but this one has really adapted well. I thought it would be bothered by the 2 bigger tangs in my tank, but maybe because of it’s smaller size they don’t feel that threathened by the PBT. Got a pic of him eating some nori when the big guy (sailfin) let’s everyone else have something to eat.
