Back Glass Cleaning

Hey everyone,
lokking for a better way to clean the back glass of my display. I have painted it black so I didn’t know if using my mag-float scrapper would scratch off the paint on the outside. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes more then likely repeated use of a mag-float will ware the paint off in spots, plus how can you get to the back to even use a mag-float.

A lot of people just let coralline grow on the back glass, but if you want to clean it use a scrub pad, there are several made for it or just as easy to fashion you own.
here is a short list from amazon, the Kent pro scraper is my favorite.

Or a razor blade if its glass

I use a straight edge razor. Depends on the size of your tank if that’s feasible though.
