That’s Bob Glass - he lives next door.

lOl Just kidding Jim - I couldn’t resist lOl

All my glass blowing equipment is packed up. but I do go to a friends home and use his equipment. Why can I use your garage? Lol I’ll make ya sumtin. Seriously tho I have about $10,000 invested in glass blowing equipment. I have been blowing glass for 3 years now and im quite nice with it.

Hi Everyone!

Here are a few pictures of my tank. Also, here’s a link to my tank build thread over at nano-reef.com.

This tank has been up for 5 months now. As you can tell, I’m taking the real slow approach. lol I have added more zoas, a 4 headed frogspawn and a couple of cloves in the past couple of weeks. Once I upload those photos, I’ll post them here.

Very Nice.

In picture #2 on the right side in the rocks with the white mesh; What is that?

looks like a Starbucks coffee mug with mesh over it for loose polyps or frags… would be my best guess. lOl Great looking shots and equally nice tank. I had to read your tank build… very well done! I also commend you on your patience and dedicated research!!! Love the two most recent zoo frags too!

Thanks!

Yes, it is a Starbucks shot glass. lol I got an unmounted ricordia florida. So I put it in the shot glass with a disk and it attached to it on it’s own in a couple of weeks. It’s now out of the shotglass. I’ll get the newer pics uploaded within the next couple of days.

WOW robin…very nice! That is probably the nicest newb tank i have ever seen. Very impressive. It just goes to show what kind of success you can have if you take your time and do your homework. Good job!!

Very nice, love the different zoas. Do you have any fish or other livestock?

Thanks alot logans_daddy and DamnPepShrimp! Other than the CUC and the feather duster, there’s no other livestock at this point. I do plan on adding fish maybe early next year. I’m just not ready for that yet. lol

Here’s some pics of my newer buys. A couple of these came from DPA with the help of Jon.

New FTS!

Oh, and i cant believe i forgot to mention it before…nice pictures. Your pics are crystal clear. Probably the best i have seen from any member on this forum, myself included. What kind of camera did you use?

Beautiful tank. I like the fact that you are just going with corals and inverts for now. What is the pink thing on the rock in the lower left hand rock on the FTS picture?

The pink stuff is just some macroalgae that I haven’t picked off yet and the camera I use is the Canon Powershot SD800 IS.

Robin,

Amazing Zoo frags!!! Where did you get these and what did you pay for them if you don’t mind me asking!!! I have to get some of these!!! Can i get in line now (first!!! lOl) for when you frag these!!!

Thanks,
Andy

:-)lol First I gotta learn how to frag! hahaha The ones on the bottom came from our very own Dr Mac! They are these - http://www.pacificeastaquaculture.com/Detail.aspx?ID=16298&ReturnPage=%2FShowProductCategory.aspx%3FCategoryId%3D2%23WF+S1608 I paid $49 for that frag. The ones on the top came from vividaquariums and they are these - http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=05-5319-10 I paid for the 2 polyp frag, but got 3 polyps.

Robin

pm’d you back

WOW!! Your tank is beautiful…I am new as well and have just started my Aquapod 24 Gallon about 3 weeks ago. I only have 2 pieces of lr from premium aquatics waiting on new shipment to add more. How did you setup the filtration in the back of the tank? I also have the Koralia 1 where did you position it? In the back I have the blue filter and then the pump that came with tank. Did you replace the pump and if so which one did you go with? I cant get over how beautiful your tank is it truly looks amazing…
