Bio Actif Salt

So i figured i’d test this new salt to see “what’s under the hood”, and to have something to reference this PIA to read Redsea Mg test kit (John you were right). Survey says:
Mg 1240 redsea
Kh 8 api
Ph 8.4 (test kit… perfect purple) api
Ca 440 api
taken at sg of 1.025 (refractometer)

Which John(there are about 6 that post on the forum), was right about what?

If you think the test kit is a pain to read try out the Elos. Can’t find them in any LFS locally accept for maybe TPP(not sure) and Hidden Reef(often run out). I believe several of our online sponsors including Reef-Geek carries them. Also still wouldn’t ever trust any of the reagent test kits for pH.

I’m still using the regular Tropic Marin Pro and probably won’t switch over. I think eventually if I want to add something additional I may try a small ZeoVit system, but likely won’t be switching my prop tanks any time soon.

I have had an issue recently with some of the Tropic Marine Pro buckets having solid chunks in it, but the manufacturers costumer support was great working with me about that.

Still give DPA props for being the only LFS in the state that carries either the Pro or the Bio Active.

There are few online reviews with similar results. I have been using it for 2 month now and love it, water is crystal clear. Have to make sure do min 15% weekly water changes. Thanks DPA for stocking this salt.
