I’d like to try some solid carbon dosing in my tank. The plan is to replace the GFO in my BRS reactor with bio pellets. But I’m wondering if my in-sump mini-g can handle the extra skimmate (sp?). Does anyone have insight they can share?
My mini-g is unmodified. I know there’s a few handy DIY mods. Could any of them be of assistance in this application?

Bio pellets take place of the vodka dosing. Keep you’re gfo running with the bio pellets. Bio pellets work best for nitrate while gfo is for phosphates.
Bio pellets seemed to work well for me before the pump went bad.
how is your skimmer performing now?
carbon dosing will increase skimate, so maybe it would just kick out more and handle it… thats if its not already working overtime :

I know people like the mesh wheel mod on the bigger asm’s… it just requires more frequent maintenance.
I’ve never done it but it looks easy enough, lmk if you want to try it out and want help.
