Hey all - I decided to break down the office cube since it was more or less being neglected. I also don’t plan on adding any fish to my 90, so I also broke down my QT system.
I am willing to part the equipment of I can do them in a set-up cost to save money.
1.) 3/4" SQWD - old style (no removable top). Works well, was quiet in my system - $20.
2.) 200 watt Eheim heater - $15.
3.) MJ1200’s - I also have all kinds of misc pieces for them - I have 3, but I need to make sure 1 of them is working right - $10 each.
4.) Tunze 9002 skimmer - $50
5.) 100 watt Aqueon heater - $10
6.) Korallia Nano 425 powerhead - $10
7.) Hydor rotating flow things - $5 ea, I have 2 of them - fitted for the outputs of the MJ pumps
8.) Aquaclear 30 HOB power filter - $15
9.) Marineland 25 gallon cube tank - not drilled - no stand, tank only - $75
10.) Metal halide pendant lighting - 150 watt DE Hamilton Cayman Sun pendant with the blue moonlight LEDs along with a Lumatek selectable ballast (150, 175, 250, HQI settings). There is a 150 watt DE Phoenix in the fixture that has about a year of use on it - $150
11.) BNIB - 150 watt DE Phoenix halide bulb $40 - box never opened.
Now, that said, if anyone wants to get them as a system, I’ll do the following:
1.) Cube set-up - includes tank (obviously), halide lighting with ballast, the BNIB Phoenix, 200 watt Eheim, the SQWD, 2 MJ1200’s, the Hydor rotators and the Tunze skimmer for $300
2.) QT set-up - Includes the Aqueon 100 watt heater, Korallia nano pump, Aquaclear HOB filter and I’ll throw in a 10 gallon tank with a standard fluorescent hood - for $75
Note - the equipment for the QT was used as a QT and has been through medications - I have, however run the system with carbon and Cuprisorb after QT and all levels were 0.
All equipment and tanks have been thoroughly cleaned with tap water and a bristle brush and left to air dry. Tanks have been scraped of coralline algae and are also clean and dry.
Any questions, let me know -
