Bring a tank to MACNA?

Calling all MACNA veterans…

I’m going for all 3 days and I hear that most vendors will hold frags till Sunday, but I wanted to get ur guys opinion. Should I set up a tank in my hotel room? Did you?

if you do - I would consider using a 12x12 commercial grade polyfilter .
You cannot cycle/stabilize a tank in a short period of time biologically.

And maybe add some good instant starter culture too, like bio spira. What do you have? A little 3 gallon cube tank to take with you? That would be great.

Honestly, I don’t really want the hassle and I’m planning on doing most of my coral purchases on Sunday anyway. From what I’ve read almost all vendors will hold frags so I’m going to grab my MUST HAVES on Friday and pick them up Sunday.

I m just bring going a 5 gall bucket with a battery powered air bubbled I’m just doin the day sat? What are you going to do for ride home it will probably be all over the car just got a emailed from aqua east we will have a 1000+ frags 200 clams 50 different sponges and aqua cultured gorgonians and seahorses 100+ anemone. And more!! That alone has me excited and no shipping charges. Will try to post pics for those who can’t make it.

I will do my normal must be able to hold till Sunday and then I put them in a hot/cold bag and then that goes in a cooler when I get back to the truck.

I’m just going to put all the bags in a Styrofoam cooler.
