and you thought you had a problem check this link out.
what would you do? drain the tank, get some fish or invert to eat it, or try to trap um?

I’d pay closer attention to how much I am feeding. Bristle worms will self regulate based on availability of food.
Of course I’d also drop in a table shrimp just to see how long it would take them to devour it.
Then I’d trap some using the martin worm trap and pass them out to my local reef club. ;D
Wow thats alot of big worms too. They had to be fed well to get that many that big.
i think they might eat “The Martin Worm Trap”.

I agree!!
thats unfair u cheated. everyone knows about that. i might have to reconsider the hobby when i find a worm larger then myself. it could reach you in your bed. imagin finding that thing half way out of the tank.
that worm must have been expensive, eating all those rics. im suprised how ugly it is. parrot fish eat coral and there beautiful.
I really want to keep one of those worms someday…
Just feed it all the kenya tree, xenia, and mushrooms that nobody wants.
There was another famous worm incident recently that you might not have heard of…
And this worm has the ability to inflict a sting causing “permanent numbness” to a human.
eating the martin worm trap, brett that was funny
Over the past couple months, while trying to clean up some tanks, i have removed a dozen or more of those guys about 6 inches long. nice and fat. they had been living under some rock in the chaeto tank. i found them when rooting around with my bare hand, and got my fingers stuck with a furry coating of their bristles. they do actually hurt at that size. It took me a while to pluck em out. and needless to say the worms were caught with tweezers and disolved in bleach. I aint letting those buggers loose down the drain. they could eat the Delaware Bay!
it makes you wonder how they know the sting causes permanent numbness… kinda like the warnings on hair dryers etc, i can guarantee someone called in to complain about it…
