bristol worms

Bristol worms and fire worms. Are they the same thing and are either one good or bad to have. I think i have some kind of worms and wondering if i should try to get rid of them. I have read different articles some say they are good to have and others say get rid of them. I was wandering what you guys think. Thanks

Bristle worms and fire worms are two different creatures. Fire worms are quite large (5-6" long and 1" wide), where as bristle worms are thin and generally not as long. Fire worms can eat corals, where as bristle worms eat detritus and fish poo. I would definatley consider fire worms bad, but bristle worms are a good part of any CUC.

Is there any other way to tell the difference between the two other than size.
