Camden Aquarium Trip - Sign Up Here

We have been invoted to join the DSAS (Fresh water club) to visit the Camden Adventure Aquarium on July 25th. We need 20 to get the discount ticket price of $14.00 . Regular price is $20 per adult. So it’s a pretty nice discount. We need to make the reservation as soon as possible, as they fill up and block out soon for the crowded summer season. We need confirmations from everyone by June 25th.

Money will be due at time of registration (r shortly thereafter) as we have to buy the tickets when we make the reservation. (Please contact Marty - Reefzig to arrange payment)

Transportation details will be worked out later.

Who’s in?

i may be in for 5 tickets. will let you know as soon as i can by next week. if i am going i will arrange foe a payment to whomever needs it but i dont get up that way often. i could send it snail mail or paypal

Come one, Come all!! Don’t drag yer feet if you are thinking of going to see the new and improved Camden Adventure Aquarium with us. Make your prepaid reservation now before June 25, 2009 DSAS, The freshwater club, has 10 people prepaid now (including me, Yes, I’m in that club too!) and we need a minimum of 20 prepaid to secure the group rate discount bargain price of only $14 a ticket.

Rachael, The DSAS President will need to make a prepaid reservation asap, or hopefully by June 25th will be soon enough to secure our slot of tickets. they sell out fast. DRC members can get pre-payment to Marty ( reefzig ) our beloved, bearded treasurer. or probably one of us officers to pass it on in time. Or if lost, just ask for directions right here on the forum.

It should be a nice trip, not too far, and for anyone interested, we plan to stop at a Local Jersey LFS afterwards, like maybe THE AQUARIUM CENTER, and check out their stuff, and perhaps also ECA on the way home. Purely for scientific research purposes, of course.

Car pooling is encouraged and can be arranged. you know, to Save a Reef, cut CO2 and reduce ocean acidification. and all that good stuff.

So if you want to go, take a deep breath of that fresh salt air, puff up yer chest and shout it out now.

And Let’s go!

Bump-Bump!!

Yeah I think I might need maybe ten… Unless babies get in for free. Im not sure Have to wait for my momma to get back to me on who wants to go. But Ill let you know before june 25th

Is anybody going with us?

So who all is going? I’m bringing 8 people lol

you put the group tickect buy over the hump. That should make our 20 ticket purchase minimum. still room for a few more though. Marty says we can add to the count.

i am gonna take the fam up. 2 adults, and a 4 y/o. maybe the wife’s cousin. so who gets the money? by when? whats the age cutoff? (like, homuch for the 4 yo??)

Glad to hear you and the “Fam” are coming too Craig. Should be fun. The aquarium’s policy is here.

Marty and Rachel have talked to them. There may be a small discreprancy on the actual ticket price . we all forgot about Jersey state sales tax…and they have some flexibility on group discount price if we actually show up with one or two less than the 20 minimum. and the chaparone issue for minors. and then the offsetting free ticket for a certain number? i think? So it sounds like the two club treasuries stand ready to absord any small adjustment, proportionally, to maintain the price at $14. Or so i understand. That is still almost 1/3 off. It will work out. Life is flux… Go with the flow!

So … Let’s go!

I’m pretty sure same price for the 4 y/os, 2 and under are free. Marty gets the $$, I’m guessing ASAP.

One week left till the trip.

Trip is on for this Saturday, July 25th. Can meet at the William Penn High School parking lot (will be in a black Hyundai Tucson SUV) at 8:15am. Must leave for the aquarium at 8:35am sharp, so don’t be late. Some of us can probably carpool for the trip there.
Or you can meet Rachael at the aquarium at 9:45am. Adventure Aquarium, 1 Aquarium Drive, Camden, NJ 08103 856-365-3300.
Our group rate of $14 each is good for up to the time we pay the balance for the tickets at the aquarium. This is all ages, except for under age 2 is free.
Once in the aquarium, you can choose to stay with the group or go on your own. At the end of the visit, we plan to stop at an aquarium store in Clementon, NJ, and maybe East Coast Aquatics on the way back if there is time.
Just let me know if you are coming prior to Saturday so I know who to expect.

For those meeting us at the high school in New Castle, just a note: Rt 141 South (Basin Road) bridge southbound lanes over Rt 13 is closed for repairs. So if you are coming via I-95 onto Rt 141 to go to the high school, you will have to detour off to Rt 13 south and then do a u-turn to Rt 13 northbound to get back onto Rt 141 South. You can also get to the high school by Rt 273 to Rt 141 North (Basin Road) in New Castle. So allow yourself a little extra time for the detour.
