I have a rock with several different zoas and a weird colored one has appeared that looks like a combo of two different varieties growing next to each other. None of the other zoas in my tank look like this one.
Three photos trying to show the zoa in question and one top down just to show the whole rock.
Yep, they can! I can’t remember the names of the common ones off the top of my head. It’s awesome when it happens. I’d love to know why they do it.

It just dawned on me… it’s usually eagle eyes and dragon eyes. You wind up with eagle eyes with bright green centers. I still can’t recall what the morph is called though…

I have zoas that have morphed. I currently have several Blueberry Fields that are getting yellow blotches on their faces, a few are almost completely yellow.
I have also had some pink cats eyes (zoas or palys, not sure) they were a dusty pink color for years and somewhere along the line they became a more vibrant pink. Some have developed purple rings and big green eyes. Others without the purple rings have small green centers.
I recently had a colony of red skirt zoas that had salmon blotches on the faces. They closed up for several weeks, I thought I had lost them, then they started to open back up and now have blue faces like the ones called spidermans. Come to think of it I’m sure the Blueberries closed up before turning yellow.
