Ok so since ive had this set up about 5+ years now ive been running an ASM G-1 protine skimmer which is even older then that and it’s always worked great, noisy at times but gets the job done nice. Well after years of wear and Tare I thinks it’s time to replace it. I was looking at the Reef Octopus NWB150 6in pin wheel, has anyone used this or another skimmer that they believe is above the rest? Noise definatly plays a factory in my decision.

So on my list is ofcorse a new protine skimmer and two led units to replace my 6 bulb T5 fixture. Anyone else have these thoughts since its the one time of the year I wont feel to guilty about it ::rofl::

I put an MP40 and 2 more LED fixtures on my list this year. Not expecting to get both (or either for that matter) but it never hurts to ask

I don’t know if I posted to tell everyone I did get the MP40, at 1st I could not stand it because it would vibrate all over the glass and not stay in one spot and over all way to loud for my liking. :BB) So after a few days of this I called and received outstanding customer service. They explained about the magnets and how if they are to close they will do that! Then I fixed the setting on the dry side and it’s been Amazing since. No wear near as loud as I thought it to be and the fish are extremely happy. YahoO
