Very nice Paul ::
Really awesome!
if only i could bet a good picture
Again in person much better plus the versatility of those lights. And top down view is awesome
Ooohh that looks good now. How’s the purple Monti making out?
Thats gotta look amazing in person!! Paul, how do you get them to stay up on those rocks?
thanks again. that huge rock is a massive coral first of all, harvested back in the 70’s. its shape has sorta grooves in it and the clams seem to fit just right into them. a few are attached and some are not and are easy to move around.
Clams look nice Paul.
Awesome clam setup. Just a quick question how do you keep your calcium up? with all those clams that tank must use calcium like no tomorrow.
Thanks Mike
Did you mean that the rock is really a massive coral skeleton.
And have you been in this hobby since the 70’s?
John, that is one piece of coral, i did break a little off to fit into the tank. i was in the hobby in the 70’s, when it was a hobby strictly to kill animals. no decent lights test kits, or well-collected creatures. i had 3 tanks and maintained about 4 others. fun, but i lost 3 tanks in a week and two customers soon after, then my trigger tank crashed. DONE!
Mike, ca is up probably for 2 main reasons: I change 3.5 gals each day, unless i miss a day or two; no massive w/c for me. so in my system of 145 gals, i’m changing between 18-25 gals a week.
but i feel it’s mainly the ca reactor, now running for 3 months, with no controller. After i got 10 clams, i hooked it up. but i never had a ca reading below 380, even before the reractor, and i added tlf ca supplement then.
