: they are really cool… my last one took a nice bite outta my squammy before he went “bowl surfing” , and I hope it choked on it I’m not sure if i want to chance it again. I know they’re easy enough to catch, but i wouldn’t be able to sleep with the thought of waking up to “Swiss clams” in the tank >:::

nah, i lost one that had been ill. a big maxi, and the funeral rites took a long time, guests seating and all, but the eulogy was sweet. it hadn’t opened full up in a while. i had it over 4 months. a PEA clam again. i was pretty sure it was a goner 2 weeks ago. but it looked better every once in a while, or worse, but it never looked good once it started to look bad. 3 big nass snails in it when i got home. btw, john, have you started on the pyram eradication yet?

how’s your new two little maxis doing? did you let them outta Qt yet? or did my pyrams scare you into a couple more weeks of “snail alert” …
We’ve been plucking them as we see them, but i didn’t start the full on war again yet. Michelle helped me with the big tank for 6 hour on friday, so i dont want to push my luck.
I’ll prob just keep plucking, then move all the clams into my 30 when i get it going good, and asault the pyrams then.
