Sweet! Cool to see that old tank with some new life in it. I like the rock scape. Very open yet lots of space for animals.
In the last shot, what is that to the left of the zoas you got from me? Some sort of shroom?
Have you added inverts yet? Or have plans for which inverts you will add?
What sort of sand did you go with? Looks nice.
Tanks looking good can’t wait to see it mature and things grow out a little.
wow! really nice. where did you get that huge piece of lr, ireally like it. great job and keep us updated.
how about a close up of that chalice.
Wow Paul, very nice! I love what you did with the new tank!

In the last shot, what is that to the left of the zoas you got from me? Some sort of shroom? JON, THAT’S ONE OF MY VERY FIRST BUYS, A TOADSTOOL, HAD MORE GREEN COLORING IN THE OTHER TANK
Have you added inverts yet? Or have plans for which inverts you will add? ONLY A CUC HAS BEEN ADDED. I DON’T WANT ANY CRABS OR SHRIMP TO INTERFERE WITH THE CORAL FEEDINGS
What sort of sand did you go with? Looks nice. THAT’S SOME LIVE SAND, SOME FROM MY OTHER TANK AND SOME REGULAR ARGONITE NON-LIVE
Tanks looking good can’t wait to see it mature and things grow out a little. THNX. I JUST GOT SOME PELLETS FOR SPOT FEEDING, THE TUBE WAY WORKS GREAT! MANY THANKS FOR THE HINT.
how about a close up of that chalice. WHICH ONE? ELLEN’S IS THE BIG ROUND REDDISH ONE?OR A DIFF ONE?
i appreciate the nice words on the setup. i am grateful for everyone’s help and advice, very grateful!! this is a dream come true!
Awesome photo of the acan echinata!
Ill answer some ?'s as i talked and watched this tank for a hour today:
@jon
Its a toadstool, said its suppose to be green normally…
@brett
He had a tank maintaing business, and bought all of it to put in the tanks before it was illegal. He has some really really nice peices…
Theres more to elaborate on
This tank is stunning in person, i loved it when i saw it today.
Where were those other clams that were acclimating?
Seen the tank tonight!!! Wow looks great and that little yellow tang is beautiful!!
Sweet !!! Paul you did a wonderful job. Seeing it all come togehter…priceless!
i can’t tell you how much the compliments mean to me. thanks so much. i wanna see bill’s new squammie, though!!
That toadstool looks awsome. It’s a real odd-ball. Should you ever get a frag of that I’ve got first dibs.
jon, i cut it off its stump b/c an emerald crab was tearing it up and moved it downstairs to the new tank… in the upstairs tank, it was nice and green-polyped. i’m gonna wait until it reattaches firmly to frag it. u got 1st dibs, trade for sompin u have, not $$.
what did you drill the rock with?
used a masonry bit and put some 1/2 pvc through it, brett, really easy. if you are interested, i can lend you the bit, but it’s slightly larger than 1/2 inch so you need big pieces of rock otherwise they’ll shatter.
i got some really nice pieces that ill be drilling, im gunna cure the rock first. i heard it was easier to drill wet and i wouldnt have the display set up for a while.
i heard it was easier to drill wet
absolutely! remove the piece from the water, let it drip and it’ll be wet enough to avoid heat build-up. use an electric drill, not a battery one cause that stuff is hard as rock, haha.
