Hi, I have 2 Flame Scallops in my 46g, very nice looking and beneficial to tank.
Here is more info
I thikn I’d steer away from flame scallops, as they usually don’t do well in tanks. Rosti, how long have you had them? Are they longterm?
Look at the pacific east in the vendors section, Dr Mac usually has some killer clams.
I have them for 3 month now, feeding tank with squirt of phytoplankton daily. The are doing great as far as i can tell. Salt water tank dont give me any trouble. Just change water and feed. .I wish I had more “luck” with my freshwater tank.

Jared,
RAF has some real good information on them. The resident clam expert here is also over there (Chris&Barb) and can give you more information to get started then you’ve ever needed to know.
The basics are
The usual advice on clams is wait 6 months until the tank is stabilized.
Good lighting. (depending on the type of clam)
Need to check for fish that might nip at them
Keep your cal, alk and mag at good levels
SO basically same as anemone but watch cal and mag (which i watch anyway :P) and well alk for everything
stability and keeping things stable, along with no changes and remaining the same with very few varying issues.
You said the same thing in 5 different ways i love it!
