Section 3 It shall be the responsibility of the Secretary to inscribe the proceedings of all meetings and to be prepared to read the specified records when requested. This office requires the maintenance of Club records, except those designated to other officers. When the President and vice president are absent in any meeting, the Secretary shall preside. The Secretary shall also be responsible for maintaining copies of all correspondence as directed by the board. The Secretary shall also be responsible for maintaining the web site and all forum maintenance.[/quote]
Thanks for beating me to it Karen.

No problem Bryant!!! =)

Paul is the retired English teacher and the editor of a book company! Some how I feel he is the more qualified candidate even if he is a liberal. Beside a nice cube would look nice outside next to the pond! Just what I need somthing else to fix!

i agree with jason, javascript:void(0);but i am not a candidate simply because i am not a member of the club. I am an observer–a follower and a fond past member. having me as an officer because i have english skills is like saying you would be a good mother because you had one. or like saying you would be a great dog because you love licking your… :BB)

Paul does have a point. Remember he is retired because he was forced out.

Something about the school not being willing to put padding down in an effort to protect hips or something.

::rofl:: :-)lol ::rofl::

can we get some more info on elections, will it be ballot or raise your hand voting ?

Is there anyone that would like to be considered for an officer position ?

Is there anyone that is or would decline an officer position ?

If my tally is correct, here are the exiting nominations:

President
Bryant

VP
Jason
Bill #2
Patrick

Secretary
Patrick
Jason

Treasurer
Marty

Social Chair
Karen

If you would like to nominate yourself (I.e. Nominteer) please feel free. If you would like to hold an officer position but do not feel egotistical enough to nominate yourself, please send me a PM and I will nominate you. It is important that we get all nominations wrapped up here in the next few days.

If you have been nominated for a position, and do not wish to hold a position, please let us know ASAP so we can remove you from the ballot.

This is the official nomination thread - if you want to see someone hold office, make sure you speak up here so they can be included in the official ballot.

I nominate Casey for President and or VP
I know Jason tentatively declined but would like to see him on the ballot for President too.
I would also like to nominate Matt for VP and Secretary positions

I thought I saw a nomination for Craig for President?

Craig for potus!!!

I MAY accept a nomination if you really want me to be President again, but before you vote, you must remember that I am unavailable after March - the kids and baseball take priority.

I also see the position of President changing (if it’s me again) - I would be delegating more to committee, i.e. 3 people tasked with deciding on the monthly menu, 3 people picking the GT prizes, someone else spearheading sponsorships, and Bryant putting together the monthly demos.

That and Bill Rob would need to agree to be my VP again.

I would volunteer for committee work, as long as it did not involve public speaking and noted that I am on a on-call schedule that will prevent me from attending some meetings if it falls on that week.

we’ll have paper ballots. Bill said it best, anybody can nominate themselves. All the names are going on the ballot unless you specifically decline. We could always cross names off.

I officially nominate Craig for President and Bill for VP (with committees)

Right now, here is the list I have. Remember it’s still not too late to nominate yourself for a position, I’ll be leaving space on the ballots for write-ins. See everyone tonight!

President
Bryant
Craig

VP
Jason
Bill R
Bill #2
Patrick MacBride

Secretary
Patrick MacBride
Jason

Treasurer
Marty

Social Chair
Karen

I’m going to remove myself from the ballot. I don’t think there have been enough new ideas or direction yet.

I’d like to add Casey as a nominee for President and/or Vice-President though.

    I'm removing myself also

This past year has had some new ideas and looking forward to see what the next year will bring.
