This is one of those animals I wish I saw less of in LFS, but some stores seem to bring them in time after time. [/quote]
I agree, but in hypocrite fashion have bought a couple myself, thus raising the demand.
Now Michelle on the other hand thinks they should be left alone in the ocean 100%. I’m glad this ones doing ok ,so far, cause if my conscious didn’t beat me up for killing another one she sure would. >:::
She loves it too, well, soon as she saw it eating she did ::
Oh Man! Not those cool looking nems!? they were nice and bright. Hey , maybe when he is done, you could lease your CBBF to Craig to do a little lawn mowing on his outstanding looking Manjano .

“you’ll have to pry this fish from my cold dead fingers”
and those little nems…they are nice and bright, but now they’re stinging my nice and bright coral verdict_in
I hope it does well for you and I get a chance to see it doing really well in your nice display tank. I would really like to see one in a tank doing well and speak with a devoted hobbyist about it’s behavior. That being said I will likely leave this one on my dream list to purchase only when I am wealthy and can convince my buddy who studies fish disease to bring one in for me and take care of it.
Here’s a 2min video of him… pay attention to the fish, not the dirty tank ::
Cool video. But I didn’t see him eat one. I want to see him eat one of the nems!!

Wow, tough crowd ::
I actually grabbed the camera because it was munchin away on the nems, but soon as it saw me close to the tank it thought it was getting mysis or something and abandoned the nems.
It seems like one of those type of fish that if they see you, then their swimming and showing off right at the front of the glass.
I don’t get what it is about some fish, but I know exactly what you mean. I can’t get a pic of anything in my tank except this black and white striped damsel i have. He’s only the size of a quarter, but he HATES not being in the spotlight. Even when he’s not hungry. He’s pushing other fish out of the way. He’s dancing around in front of corals. And then he looks at me like, well…start snappin buddy!

Good to know it will eat the nems. I figure I should be able to add one to my tankand not worry about it taking prepared food for at least a year ::
I’m going to have to come by and check it out. I’d love to erradicate my majano, they’re pretty but they take up a ton of realestate.
nutha one bites the dust… I’m sorry i tried again. In my hypocritical opinion these guys should be left in the ocean.
:SURRENDER
How did it go? starve? carpet surfing?
i noticed it didn’t come running at feeding time, it just sat in the corner… next morning it was just MIA… I bet the hermit crabs are pigging out, i havent seen any all day…

Sorry about the fish man. I was hoping to read thru this thread and hear good news. After seeing your earlier pics, I WANTED one too!

I was feeling particularly sad that day because I’d just lost my maroon clown the night before. (S)he was a beautiful little bugger and I’m pretty heartbroken over it. The jerk that was pickin on her has since been moved to the fuge. PERMANENTLY. So now it’s more like a prison than a refuge. ironic considering he’s a zebra striped damsel.
