Galaxia, but I didn’t really get it at the store I got what was probably half a polyp, ~1/2cm, for Andy. It is now about 3cm with sweeper tentacles that reach out 6 inches. Hasn’t stopped sweeping in a week and there isn’t anything within a foot of it. Rough aquascaping with a square foot of empty space in a 4’ tank! Or in my case getting effective use out of a propagation tank. It is an animal and I can’t kill it and for some reason I won’t give it away either.
Curly-Q anemone.
Although I no longer have an issue I didn’t realize when I got one that it was part of the aptasia family.
my beautiful DEEP Blue mushrooms, luckily they only grow in the shaded areas of my tank, under rocks and all, but still there annoying in a SPS tank.
and GSP and even tho its the prettyiest coral in my eyes, its battling for space with my rainbow monti, neither are “winning” neither are growing over each other, and the GSP is growing in the other directions quicker. anyone know how i can get it off this rock while keeping my rainbow monti on the rock
Could break the rock up carefully deeply scoring it first. Might lose a little bit, but better than nothing. I keep GSP well away from main rock structure and other corals.
A former member of the club lost several large SPS colonies due to a green Bararium colony which looks like GSP, but grows over stonies even faster.
Another angle for this question could be corals we wish we never got because we killed them. I lost my first ever SPS because I wasn’t really ready to keep it yet.(well it came back from the dead a couple times then got walked over by an anemone to finally kill it off)
ha, briareum is my second choice…i think it grows just as fast as my chaeto.
