I just wondered if some one could tell me where to get the rare blue bubble coral.
And are Panamanian zoanthids like the ones offered in the divers den on live aquaria Actully zoanthids from panama or the carribean or is It just a name to sell corals like the “japananese” deepwater corals .
Dose anyone know of cool caribean corals that are legal to have .
A blue bubble - you’'re just going to need to keep looking and expect to pay.
Caribbean corals are illegal to harvest, unless you get them by accident on cultured live rock from the Gulf - like from Tampa Bay Saltwater, etc. The only exceptions are anemones which zoanthids, ricordea and of course anemones are all part of that family. Even then, there is a limit in collection. You can also collect certain gorgonians, sponges, etc. but the selection is very limited.
I’‘m not sure if Panamanian zoanthids come from Panama or not, never looked into it too much. I do know that there are all kinds of them down there and since they are allowed to be collected to an extent, it wouldn’'t surprise me.
Not sure if they’‘re from the Atlantic or not. There are all kinds of restrictions in the Pacific regarding collections. Legally, you’‘re only b allowed to collect rock and corals from, area that have broken away from the reefs. Its illegal to cut right off the reef. Until just a few years ago, you couldn’'t get Aussie corals at all. Fiji collection as well as the Marshall Islands are extremely limited now.
You seem to ask about rare or the what’'s hot corals and zoas a lot, please do yourself a huge favor and forget about rare and trending corals and really just look at what you think looks nice and you would have a good environment to place it in. Leave the rare and trending corals to the experienced keepers and propagators and in a few months they will lose their trendy price tags.
“Dose anyone know of cool Caribbean corals that are legal to have .”
what is cool to me may be very plain to someone else
Some would be
ricordia, mushrooms, discosoma mushrooms, st thomas mushrooms, gorgonians and some zoanthids plus many inverts.
No offense but a simple google search would have took you straight to those links and avoided this whole thread. Do yourself and everyone a favor and do a little homework for yourself, then bring that information here to discuss what you found and as for others experiences etc.

Qfinz96, I removed your reply to BigCase, normally I would just PM you, but since I found your reply a little disrespectful of a member and that member is a veteran that is on active duty half way around the world leaving a wife and small child at home to defend your rights I thought it deserved a public post.
Please watch how you phrase your words, it does not mater if you meant them as offensive or not if I or other moderators take them as such you will be banned.
So in the future please use a word processor to prepare your post so you can spell check them and read them over several times before posting them.
I read what you said in response and if it was up to me, you would not be allowed on this site FOREVER!!!
I read what Big Case wrote and agree totally to what he said.
If you want to find out where a coral comes from that you see on a vendors web site, how about ASKING the vendor where it comes from.
Do some research, do some research,do some research!!!
And in reply to your comment that was removed, you said you want to come here and talk to the experts, let’’’'s get something straight right now, THERE ARE NO EXPERTS HERE IN OUR CLUB, just hobbyist that enjoy keeping saltwater fish and coral alive in their tanks.
I wasn’‘t able to read the post in response to what i had to say. In all honesty i couldn’'t care less what you had to say in response to my SUGGESTION.
Suggestion is what your going to get when you as a question in this hobby, so id get use to hearing what people had to say no matter what it is.
IMHO (in my honest opinion) there are NO experts in this hobby, everyone has found what works for them and they are able to keep these animals in a healthy environment and make the animal and themselves happy. You need to look into this HOBBY as more of something to enjoy and strive to be the best at. Not try to have the highest grade, name, species of corals.
To be honest, i have more enjoyment out of getting a frag from a fellow reefer and seeing what I can do with it and how different it looks for me.
I look past your ignorance and childish behavior as much as i can, as do most people on here, but sometimes you strike a nerve.
Good luck,
