Corals are Tougher Than We Think

Here is a nice little experiment which confirms what i always suspected. that is that corals are tougher than we think and can survive periodic times exposed to air, sun and fresh water rain.

a short, simple test that confirms what happens to reeftop corals and shallow lagoon corals during extreme tide times. and blowout storm tides.

thats an awesome read. Is it illegal though to say take corals out of the reef? like if i went to bahamas i couldnt just swipe some stuff could i? Is that geared more tords if i went to a fish store and then took a flight? Thats some cool stuff, i always get paranoid when i rescape and have to take corals out … guess not anymore

Thats true, there are lots of laws against live collecting and taking from the reefs in most places. But he was talking about shipping them, in a wet bag with lots of humidity. they shouldnt dry out that way and can still breath.
