pictures would help. may want to see if you can find a picture on one of the otherr sites so we have referrence
check on peanut worms … see if that looks familiar

I have never heard of a peanut worm before (nothing new here)
I hear the ones native to Georgia specifically from Peanut corporation of America are being recalled because of ongoing outbreaks of illnesses caused by Salmonella Typhimurium
As with most worms it will grow back and be fine. You have to remove a majority to kill it
def not a peanut worm. it was about a 3mm pencil lead thick or smaller, about an inch long, tubish, greyish white, and as it fed i could see something traveling up and down inside what looked like its tube, and its mouth appeared from the open end. i goo0gled zoa predator, zoa worm, and saw nothing like it.

nothing positive, but the links are GREAT!!! they took me to
http://www.poppe-images.com [an amazing set of classifications of worms] i’m leaning toward something i found there, a type of CARCINONEMERTIDAE, but i am noways sure. they don’t list the size, and what i had was small and hungry. zoa is now in qt.
Did you see it during the day or at night?
daytime, ian.
well, if you can isolate them to a specific rock, move the rock to a QT tank or a bucket with heater and air stone. then add some light. if you see them pop out again, zap them with a concentrated slurry of KALWASSER paste with a eye dropper. should kill them. if not at least set them back for a while with hot pizza cheese on the roof of the mouth syndrome. the zoos should be able to tolerate the kalk for a short while. They have lots of slme. but rinse them clear soon after.
